Also known by many as the Banana Shrub, plants like 'Stellar Ruby' have been reclassified into the Magnolia family. Taxonomy aside, what sets apart this plant is the beautiful, banana-scented RUBY-PINK blooms that appear sporadically from spring until early fall. 'Stellar Ruby' makes for an excellent specimen plant in both sunny and shady landscapes.

Rate of Growth
Plants mature at 8-10' tall by 6-8' wide. May easily be maintained at 5-6' tall and wide with once-a-year trimming anytime between March and August after blooming. Expect about 12" growth a year.

Stellar Ruby' has been found to grow well in full sun or part shade.

If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
