Also known as "deciduous " hollies, these plants turn a gorgeous shade of YELLOW or ORANGE-RED in fall, then drop their leaves just as their berries are beginning to turn a brilliant RED!
As a male holly, 'Southern Gentleman' produces few or no berries of his own. However, if you plant one 'Southern Gentleman' for about every 5 'Winter Red' female Winterberries, you'll be assured that 'Winter Red' will be covered with berries all winter!
'Southern Gentleman' flowers in spring at the same time as 'Winter Red', ensuring good cross-pollination. Males may be planted up to about 50' away from females.

    Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.

    If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
