Grown for its beautiful "exfoliating" (peeling) bark AND 'Heritage' has been selected because its bark is WHITER than our native birch.
Plant alone as a specimen or space trees 10-15' apart when planting in groups of three or more - See the grouping of five 'Heritage' in our garden we planted in 2001.
Leaves turn brilliant yellow in fall before dropping for winter.

Rate of Growth
Heritage' grows quickly to mature at about 40-50' tall by 20-30' wide, at a rate of 3' or more a year.
Where to Plant
Plant in sun to light shade. All birch have very vigorous roots - Plant 100' away from septic systems. Plant anywhere if you are on a sewer system.

Shipping Information

Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.

Please, do not order plants or hard goods if you live out of state. A 10% restocking fee will apply for out of state orders made in error.

Warranty/Returns

We stand behind the quality of our plants and make every effort to ensure that your purchase is healthy and true to its name. We'll help you find the right plant for the right place and give you advice to make your garden successful.

If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
