Inspired by the Adam's Family, this oddity is grown for its 2" spines (talons?) and twisted BRIGHT GREEN stems. Supposedly, the U.S. military plants Trifoliate Orange as barrier hedges around some of its bases.
WHITE flowers in late April turn into "oranges" that ripen in late October. Even when ripe, fruit is extremely sour. Fruit has a strong citrus fragrance.
In addition to security hedging, some gardeners plant a single Trifoliate Orange as a conversation piece.

Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.
Please, do not order plants or hard goods if you live out of state. A 10% restocking fee will apply for out of state orders made in error.
Warranty/Returns
We stand behind the quality of our plants and make every effort to ensure that your purchase is healthy and true to its name. We'll help you find the right plant for the right place and give you advice to make your garden successful.
If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
