Jane' is one of the "Little Girl" magnolia hybrids developed from crosses between M. liliiflora 'Nigra' and M. stellata 'Rosea' in an effort to produce a tree that flowers in late March, several weeks later than the species, thus often avoiding frost damage.
'Jane' is grown for its beautiful, tulip-shaped flowers which are PURPLE on the outside and WHITE on the inside.
Plant alone as a specimen or space 8-10' apart when planting in groups of 3 or more. Easily trained as a "tree-form" specimen by removing smaller lower branches to expose the larger trunk structure of the plant.
Leaves drop in late fall and reappear in spring after flowers.

Shipping Information
Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.
Please, do not order plants or hard goods if you live out of state. A 10% restocking fee will apply for out of state orders made in error.
Warranty/Returns
We stand behind the quality of our plants and make every effort to ensure that your purchase is healthy and true to its name. We'll help you find the right plant for the right place and give you advice to make your garden successful.
If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
