Fat Albert' was selected for its bright blue color and slow growth, allowing it to be planted in smaller garden spaces.
While Colorado Blue Spruce thrives just 60 miles north of us in Asheville, NC, the trees require a bit more attention to siting in our Greenville gardens.
We recommend planting in a spot that gets no more than 2-3 hours of hot afternoon summer sun. Any amount of morning sun is fine.
Be sure to follow our GardenGuide instructions for recommended amounts of Mushroom Compost and Soil Conditioner and water no more than 2 or 3 times a week . . . Use a hose and count to 50!
