Also known as "Althea", these plants are grown as large shrubs or small trees and are popular for their 3-4" diameter flowers which appear from June into September in our area.
'BLUE SATIN' produces gorgeous large, showy, single
"anemone-like" BLUE flowers.
Rose of Sharon is cold-hardy as far north as Ohio and Michigan.
Plants leaf out very late in the Spring - sometimes not until early May in our area.

Rate of Growth
Plants mature at 8-10' tall by 4-5' wide, at a rate of 1-2' of growth a year. May easily be maintained at a smaller size with once a year pruning after flowering.
Where to Plant
Plant in sun to light shade. Plants are very drought-tolerant after their first year in the garden.

Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.

Please, do not order plants or hard goods if you live out of state. A 10% restocking fee will apply for out of state orders made in error.

Warranty/Returns

We stand behind the quality of our plants and make every effort to ensure that your purchase is healthy and true to its name. We'll help you find the right plant for the right place and give you advice to make your garden successful.

If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
