Grown for its fine-textured foliage which emerges in early spring a gorgeous lime-green, then changes to a deeper green for summer, then changes again to an incredibly rich cinnamon color in fall before foliage drops for winter.
Dawn redwood closely resembles bald cypress, but does not produce the bald cypress "knees" even in very wet soil.

Rate of Growth
Dawn redwood grows very quickly to mature at 30' or taller by 15-20' wide. Expect 2-3' of growth a year!
Where to Plant
Plant in sun to light shade. Plants will thrive in ordinary garden soil, in very wet soil, or, in very dry soil after their first year in the garden.

    Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.

    Please, do not order plants or hard goods if you live out of state. A 10% restocking fee will apply for out of state orders made in error.
    Warranty/Returns

    We stand behind the quality of our plants and make every effort to ensure that your purchase is healthy and true to its name. We'll help you find the right plant for the right place and give you advice to make your garden successful.

    If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
