This hybrid sugar maple is a majestic shade tree grown for its awesome brilliant yellow leaves in fall and for its faster growth rate than seedling sugar maples. Mike Dirr says 'Legacy' is the best sugar maple for the South, where our heat and humidity sometimes cause seedling sugar maples to suffer "leaf tatter" in summer.

Sugar maples typically have BRIGHT-YELLOW fall color while hybrid red maples ('Autumn Blaze', 'October Glory' ) typically have red and orange fall color.

Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.

Please, do not order plants or hard goods if you live out of state. A 10% restocking fee will apply for out of state orders made in error.
Warranty/Returns

We stand behind the quality of our plants and make every effort to ensure that your purchase is healthy and true to its name. We'll help you find the right plant for the right place and give you advice to make your garden successful.

If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
