This unusual, if not downright rare, plant is grown for its FRAGRANT, CREAMY WHITE flowers in March before leaves emerge.
Paperbush is a terrific addition to the woodland garden and plants slowly form colonies by spreading roots.
Leaves drop in winter, re-emerging the following spring after flowering.
See ours planted in dense shade below an Asian Greybeard at the bottom of the garden.

Rate of Growth
Plants mature at 3-4' tall and spread slowly to about 4' wide, at a rate of about 6" a year.

Plant in light to quite heavy shade.

Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.

Please, do not order plants or hard goods if you live out of state. A 10% restocking fee will apply for out of state orders made in error.
Warranty/Returns

If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
