Another First Editions plant introduction, 'BananAppeal' is grown for its bright yellow or chartreuse gold evergreen foliage and lacy, witchhazel-like WHITE flowers in spring.
'BananAppeal' thrives in ALL types of soil - WET or DRY areas as well as in ordinary garden soil.
Leaves smell like LICORICE when crushed or when humidity is high.
Plant alone as a specimen or space 3-4' apart when planting in groups of three or more for informal screening.

Rate of Growth

Plants mature at 3-4' tall and wide. May easily maintain at 2-3' with once-a-year pruning. Expect 6-12" growth a year.

Where to Plant

Plant in spot which receives some shade from the hottest part of the afternoon summer sun.

Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.

Please, do not order plants or hard goods if you live out of state. A 10% restocking fee will apply for out of state orders made in error.

If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
