New growth emerges a GOLDEN YELLOW and fades to green with Summer heat. Though this selection will tolerate more sun in other areas, we recommend siting this plant in afternoon shade to give it the best chance to thrive in our hot, humid climate. Foliage may turn a bronze-yellow color in Winter before new growth emerges gold again in the Spring.

Rate of Growth
In our area, 'Bright Gold' matures at 4-5’ tall by 3-4’ wide, at a rate of about 6” a year. Plants will grow larger in climates further north and on the west coast.
Where to Plant
Plant in a spot that receives a bit of shade from the hottest part of the afternoon summer sun.

    Whether you're located in Upstate South Carolina or Upstate New York, we're thrilled you've dropped by our site! Currently we offer either 1) curbside pickup or 2) local delivery within 50 miles of our location. We do not currently have any shipping capability to send plant material out of SC.

    Please, do not order plants or hard goods if you live out of state. A 10% restocking fee will apply for out of state orders made in error.

    If your tree or shrub doesn't survive for twelve months, we ask that you return the dead plant along with your receipt and we will give you a store credit for 50% of your purchase price. Annuals, herbaceous perennials, and tropicals are not covered under this warranty.
