Grown for its beautiful flat-topped white flowers which cover the plants in early May for a month or more, followed in July by fruits which emerge red and mature to black.

You may remember an article in Southern Living Magazine in which it was likened to our native white-flowering dogwood, only better!

Plant as a large-growing shrub or "tree-form" (remove lower side branches to expose 3 or 4 of its larger trunks) to grow as a small-growing tree.

Leaves turn attractive burgundy color in fall before dropping for winter, emerging again in early spring.

Shasta' matures at about 10' tall and wide. Expect 1-2' of growth a year.
